When she isn’t playing peek-a-boo with her two year old, marvelling at her six year-old’s reading skills, or watching her nine year-old play basketball, Anna is running a publishing company and quietly working away on a new novel about the guilt and fear that often overwhelm survivors.

Anna was born in Sweden but is now happily settled in Adelaide.

Anna Solding’s highly anticipated novel The Hum of Concrete was published at Adelaide Writers’ Week, Saturday 3 March 2012 by MidnightSun Publishing. The manuscript has been shortlisted for the HarperCollins Varuna Award, the Penguin Scholarship, and the Unpublished Manuscript Award at the Adelaide Festival Awards for Literature. Many of the chapters from the novel have also won individual awards and been published as short stories.

The Hum of Concrete is her first novel.
